Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous one is powerful and effective.
James 5:16

Dear Beloved Harmony brothers and sisters,
I thought of you today and found Judy’s blog. You all remain deeply in my memory and in my testimony. Charlotte has been very good to us, but the church decided to reduce the number of pastors, and I am now looking for a new call.
Please pray for us and for the right community and call. Give my best to all the kinfolk there.
In His Holy Name,
Drew
Hi Drew! It’s so good to hear from you. As I have already said to others, I’m so sorry I didn’t see your comment when you posted. It’s good to hear that things have been good. It’s been a while, now, since you asked for prayer. Did you find a new job or a new call? We will definitely keep you and your family in our prayers. I know you are remembered fondly by the members of our group. Please keep us updated on how things are going. You can also send an e-mail at the address listed on our contact information.
Have a great new year!
I would like for you to pray for my husband and his daughter. My husband’s ex wife recently died. They were both new converts to Islam when they met. She later left Islam and went in and out of various religions (coming back to Islam two more times). As the ultimate payback of a scorned woman, she gave their daughter away to the Pastor of a mennonite church on her deathbed. When my husband went to get his daughter, after he heard of her death (a relative had to read about it because nobody contacted him), the pastor refused to let him even see her or call her on the phone. The police would not help him even with a court order. Later the pastor filed a petition of lies in court alledging that my husband (who I have 4 kids with) is unfit to be a parent. They are now in the middle of an injust court battle and the pastor has been giving temporary custody of the child – who in the mean time is becoming further alienated from her father.
Pray that the Lord reunites this family.
Wow! What a tough situation. We will certainly keep your husband and his daughter in our prayers.
I hope things look better for the new year.
Dear Gina,
It was a great Christmas present to hear back from you. Please let folks know I regret not reaching out to you all sooner. My time with you all had a huge impact on my ministry and understanding of Christian life and mission. Give my best to your husband, the Bowmans, Jerry, Gary and so many of the folks that will always have a place in my heart. Here’s a little of what my preaching sounds like now. The last few are better than the first.

Grateful for Harmony and your prayers.
Your brother in Christ,
Drew
Thanks for the link, Drew. We will definitely have to check out your sermons. And I will make sure all the Harmony folk see your notes. Where are you pastoring now?
Dear Gina, We are searching for a new call, talking with churches all over: Georgia, Missouri, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Ohio. I am filling pupits for friends and working with with a couple of urban ministries. Best to everyone,
In christ,
drew
Thanks for the update, Drew. We will definitely keep you and your family in our prayers. Please keep in touch and let us know when things change and where God takes you.
Please pray for my family. My wife and I have been separated for over a month and she says she has filed for divorce and does not want to hear about God, Church, or counseling. Please pray that God will soften her heart, bring her back into his will, and give her back the passion to restore our marriage.
Hi Keith! I’m so sorry for missing this prayer request. I have missed some comments in the past couple of months. We will definitely pray for you and your wife. It’s been a couple of months, now. Has she had a change of heart? I hope things have turned for the better for you. Please keep us updated.
Hello! I am currently staying at the Ronald Mcd House in Nashville while my daughter, Eloise, is in the hospital. She was born at 24 weeks. We have a lot of people praying for her and I see you had a prayer request link so I had to add her. She is doing so well and my husband and I know this is because of prayers. We are visiting various churches while we are here and I hope to be able to come to one of your services as well. We are not Mennonite but I was reading the Mennonite USA website and am you seem like a wonderful church. Thank you for the prayers!
Hi Kristin! How scary for your baby to be born so early. I’m so glad that she’s doing so well. We will definitely be praying for you and your family. I would love to meet you sometime and visit your little baby. If you would be open to that, would you e-mail me with your contact info: gina@walczakphotography.com. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you or if there is anything you need while you are here.
