And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
Harmony Mennonite Church is a group of Christians who meet together weekly for fellowship, worship and bible study. As a group and as individuals, we strive to live by what is described in Micah 6:8
Harmony began in 1986 as a church plant called Nashville Mennonite Church. Over the years the name has changed, the location has changed, and people have come and gone. But Harmony has remained a committed and faithful group of believers.
In the spring of 1997, Harmony was presented with the opportunity to have a “Kids Church” for children in the low-income neighborhoods of East Nashville. The first Kids Church took place in collaboration with the YMCA in June of 1997 with 15 children in attendance. Over the years we had as many as 80 children and teens. Harmony continued to lead Kids Church until the fall of 2005.

Charis Ministries provides food boxes to families when they are running short. We deliver the food to their homes, alleviating the problem that a lack of transportation can cause, but more importantly bringing Christian volunteers together with the families to visit, to offer prayer and their compassion. Harmony Mennonite has been a gracious supporter of our work in the past, and we sincerely appreciate your help.
If members of your fellowship would like to learn more about participating first-hand, I hope you will invite them to contact us – either by email or telephone (615-373-1261).
My reason to contact you today, specifically, is to learn where you meet for worship. Earlier today, I spoke with a person living in Madison – she attends the Church of Christ located there; she mentioned she was raised in the Mennonite Church but has found congregations to be rare in this area. I promised to let her know if I learned about worship possibilities for her. If you have any information for me to send her, I would be happy to do so.
